Ala.ni is a voice. A voice whose songs kept being played across our studio setting the mood for this holiday season. An inspiring free spirit too who seemed to be the perfect match to curate a wintery N22 playlist.
Her playlist features 15 tracks - 51 minutes of music curated carefully to perfectly accompany us towards the end of the year.
"I love an eclectic mix of music, of life actually, so I wanted to bring that to my Christmas Playlist. I'm a big DMX fan, so he defo had to be in there to kick us off. I love reggae Christmas songs as it's not a genre we are used to hearing mashed up together. Snowy Christmas in the sunny tropics is a visual oxymoron. Julie London adds the syrup. The Ramones and The Stones bring the whisky, and Jeff Buckley can sing anything to make a sore heart soar. We sadly lost the genius composer, Ryuichi Sakamoto, earlier this year, so he rounds up the playlist perfectly with "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence". ENJOY!!!! X"
