You know him well.
His raincoat and trousers are a little too short. He wears striped socks, a floppy bow tie, and a bucket hat tipped up at the back of his head.
He never parts with his umbrella, smokes a pipe, and stands slightly stooped, intrigued by the modern world bustling before his eyes.
Monsieur Hulot is a myth, created and embodied by Jacques Tati in the 1950s. He is also a silhouette—one that has entered the legend of cinema and everyday life alike. An endless source of inspiration, this silhouette is reinterpreted through the Fursac x Jacques Tati capsule collection.

Fursac x Jacques Tati is the result of an encounter between Gauthier Borsarello, Creative Director of Fursac from 2021 to 2025, and Louise Deschamps, Jacques Tati’s great-niece and director of his film catalogue. Through their conversations, Louise—alongside illustrator Philippe Dufour-Loriolle at the outset of the project—and Gauthier imagined how to translate this sense of whimsy and French charm into a wardrobe of knowing references to Playtime, Jour de Fête, Mon Oncle, and Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot, conceived for cinephiles and aesthetes alike.
